The month of August looks to be a good month for Xbox Live Gold members -- and you guessed it right, Games With Gold titles have been announced.

The lineup of free games for August seems to be some of the best seen in recent history.

Major Nelson has released the list of free titles for both Xbox One and Xbox 360 systems. Starting August 1st until the 31st, Xbox One members will be able to download "Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes." "How to Survive: Storm Warning Edition" will be available for the console from August 16th until September 15th. Each game's ERP is $19.99.

Meanwhile, Xbox 360 Live Gold members will have access to "Metro 2033" from August 1st until the 15th. "Metro: Last Night" becomes available from August16th to August 31st. Both games are also individually priced at $19.99.

"Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes" was available on the Playstation Network since June 2015 and the game serves as a playable demo for the upcoming "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain." The game itself has variable length to it. Since it is a demo game at its core, "Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes" can technically be finished in about 10 minutes, if you play straight. But some hardcore gamers can actually take hours to finish the game.

The other Xbox One free game -- "How to Survive: Storm Edition" -- is a top-down, survival horror game reminiscent of the "Resident Evil" franchise. The game has been available for a while now on different platforms, achieving satisfactory reviews. The goal of the game is to have players make it from one infested island to the next safely.

Xbox 360 Live Gold members are also in for a treat. According to Game Rant, both "Metro 2033" and "Metro: The Last Light" have been highly praised. The games are set in a post-apocalyptic era, being first-person shooters.

Both games have an in-depth story that could keep even the most-experienced gamer occupied for hours. Currently, these Metro games are only available on the Xbox 360, but Microsoft is working on making the Xbox One backwards compatible so fans of the series may be able to play the games on the Xbox One soon.

"Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag" and "Gears of War 3" are available until July 31st for Xbox Live Gold members for free.
