Connor McGregor to Fight Ronda Rousey? Details Here!

Connor McGregor has been known to thrown his weight and yap his mouth around, unafraid of anyone who may stand in his way.

But it seems that despite his brimming confidence against opponents thrown at him, there is one person he seems to be wary of facing – the UFC Women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey.

Not that McGregor finds it awkward fighting a woman in the UFC. It's more on him knowing what Rousey has accomplished and the uncanny physique that the current women’s champ has.

"I swear on my life her back muscles were the most solidest back muscles I'd ever felt in my life," McGregor said in an interview with SI Now.

Though McGregor practically admitted that he would have a hard time against Rousey if ever an unusual pairing would happen in the octagon, the Irishman made it clear that he will not back down and give up so easily.

He goes on to say that he will find ways to win over Rousey just in case a match does happen, though what kind of strategy the brash-talking McGregor would resort to remains to be seen.

With both standing as champions in their respective classes, it only becomes normal to hear both being confident on what they have accomplished and what they can do.

Rousey and McGregor are at an adrenaline-high being champions and their mindset right now is that they can take on anyone who wants a crack at their titles.

Of the two, Rousey will get to show just that this coming Saturday when she faces off against Bethe Correia in UFC 190 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Despite being the overwhelming favorite, Rousey plans to do something different on Correia for touching a sensitive issue via Twitter.

This, of course, has something to do with that celebrated “suicide” tweet which ticked off Rousey since she lost her father to it.

Though Correia has apologized, Rousey has taken it very personally.

Rather than finish the fight quick, Rousey says she intends to inflict as much pain as possible to teach the PitBull a lesson.

McGregor on the other hand is coming off a second round knockout win over replacement-opponent Chad Mendes last July. This allowed McGregor to win the interim featherweight title and he did it with a concealed knee injury.

For now it remains to be seen who McGregor would face next.

Chad Mendes is reportedly interested in a rematch with the Irishman while Jose Aldo is still a big question mark since pulling out of their original tiff on account of a rib injury he suffered during training.

And Ronda Rousey? Well, maybe not yet, unless president Dana White comes up with a wild idea to see Rousey vs. McGregor mixing it up inside the octagon. As they say, anything is possible.
