Season 3 of the hit Netflix Original series, "Orange Is the New Black," left the fate of big-haired heroin junkie Nicky Nichols uknown, and everyone is wondering whether she will be back for the upcoming fourth installment.

Natasha Lyonne, who plays Nichols, told reporters at the 2015 Television Critics Association press tour that she has "a great deal of solidarity with the cast of 'Game of Thrones'" -- the HBO series has become notorious for killing off characters in an instant.

However, the "OITNB" star dropped a few nuggets to E! News while divulging her complete trust in creator Jenji Kohan, saying she is ready for whatever Kohan may have up her sleeve for Season 4.

"We have an incredible puppet master in Jenji and there's a great deal of trust that I have in that. I'm pretty much a person who is up for adventure and I thought it was wise to have there be a big consequence for Nicky's playing around with heroin," she said. "It can't all be fingering and cookies all the time. There's going to be hell to pay at a certain point for playing with her personal fire."

Seeing that Lyonne was present at the TCA press tour, hopefully it is safe to assume she will have a role in the forthcoming season. The 36-year-old actress also commented on the possibility of watching Nichols' story unfold during her stint in max to Entertainment Weekly, implying the maximum security ward could be health for her character.

"People respond all kinds of ways to intense [situations] beyond rules. That kind of discipline sometimes brings out the best in people and sometimes brings out that much more anger and rebellion," said Lyonne. "Certainly, at a certain point, I think Nicky would have to come to terms with her childhood and do some reconciling with her past if she's going to make peace with being an adult."

Nichols was taken to maximum security at Litchfield Prison for three episodes into Season 3. She was hauled off after being accused of stashing a bag of drugs under correctional officer Joel Luschek's desk. It is uncertain whether the bag actually belonged to her, since Luscheck has repeatedly been involved with drug handling and drug references throughout the series. Meth heads, Leanne and Angie, who got a hold of Nichols' stash earlier in the season, may also be the true culprits.

Fans can look forward to the return of 'Orange Is the New Black' in 2016.
