Good news for "X-Men" fans as new details for the new X-Men film, "X-Men Apocalypse" have been revealed as it seems that Patrick Stewart is back as powerful mutant telepath, Professor Xavier.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the "X-Men" and "Blunt Talk" star visited the set of "X-Men Apocalypse".

"X-Men Apocalypse" director Bryan Singer chronicled the event as he posted a photo on Instagram which shows him with Stewart as he captions it by saying that they are remembering their own "#daysoffuturepast".

It has been speculated that Stewart's Professor Charles Xavier could return in "X-Men Apocalypse". It should be noted that James McAvoy's Charles Xavier met his older counterpart in "Days of Future Past" so it not above reason that Patrick Stewart cannot be in the same film with another Charles Xavier. However, Patrick Stewart has commented before that he would not appear on "X-Men Apocalypse."

In a report by Cinema Blend, it has been stated "X-Men" movie cast member Sir Ian McKellen along with Patrick Stewart will not appear as Magneto or Professor Xavier in "X-Men Apocalypse."

"No. Nor Sir Ian McKellen, either... I was learning quite a lot more about it last night, and it is going to be looking very much at the earlier lives of all our characters. And so I don't think we'll be making an appearance," said Steward.

It should be noted though that while Stewart's Professor Xavier's appearance in "X-Men Apocalypse" is uncertain at best, his character will appear in the third "Wolverine" film, along with returning cast member Hugh Jackman.

Meanwhile there have been rumors that another mutant played by a huge popstar would join "X-Men Apocalypse." According to a report by Gospel Herald, Taylor Swift is speculated to play the mutant pop-singer and "X-Men" member Dazzler in "X-Men Apocalypse."

For those who are not familiar with the character, Dazzler is a mutant with the amazing ability to manipulate sound vibrations and change them into light or turn them into energy beams. She has been a member of other Marvel teams such as Excalibur, S.H.I.E.L.D., and A-Next.

In an interview with Yahoo!, Singer confirmed that a possible crossover movie between the "X-Men" and "Fantastic Four" could happen soon, as he claims that several "ideas are in play," that could enable a possible crossover between to two franchises.

"X-Men Apocalypse" will be released in theatres on May 27, 2016.
