The first thing you should anticipate from the premiere of "I Am Cait" is the fact that Caitlyn Jenner is pretty much the only transgender person in the episode.

"Depending on one's familiarity with transgender-themed art and media, this may not seem terribly notable," said New York Times' Casey Plett. "I am transgender and so are many of my friends, yet for those who are not transgender, the number of transgender people in their personal lives is either one or zero."

"This certainly seems to be true of Cait's family, who individually are both accepting and wary regarding Cait's transition," the piece went on to say.

In the premiere, it isn't Cait hogging the convo - that role has been taken cared of by her family and other people around her. As such, this show "is also clearly meant for non-transgender people and their feelings."

One of the highlights in the show that you may expect is that heart-to-heart talk Cait had with mom Esther. The former Olympian told Esther that she is "happier now than I've ever been." Despite this, her mother remains "visibly unmoved," saying, "It's going to be so difficult for me to think of you as 'she' and say 'Caitlyn'."

At some point in the premiere, Cait unexpectedly gets asked on a date by a fellow transgender, model and actress Candis Cayne. However, they just remain friends.

Also, Kanye West makes an appearance on the show, together with wife Kim Kardashian, of course. Cait's stepdaughter and her rapper husband have proven themselves to be very supportive of her. In fact, Rolling Stone noted that it was Kanye who "offers Jenner some of the most supportive words of the episode."

"You couldn't have been up against more...and it was still like, 'F*** everybody, this is who I am,'" he told Cait.

The episode also revealed the 65-year-old had "very dark moments" in her life.

"I've been in my house with a gun and said, let's just end it right here," she revealed. She was then shown visiting the home of a bullied 14-year-old who committed suicide in May. Cait then joined the family in a small memorial.

Previews of upcoming episodes reveal that there is more interesting material to come. There's one of Kim, in particular, admonishing Cait: "You look amazing, it's your time, but you don't have to bash us on the way up."

Then there's the glaring absence of Cait's four eldest children - they have opted not to appear in the documentary series.
