After HTC's disappointment with the HTC One M9, the company appears to be hopeful of a revenue comeback with a new handset - the Hima Aero.

This is not a surprising move, as the company's chief Cher Wang had said that it will introduce a new "Hero" phone later this year. The said iteration has been dubbed the HTC Aero.

And now, it's been rumored that the Aero won't be the only device up for release this year. HTC will also be introducing a phablet in conjunction with the Aero's release. Phone Arena said that the Hima Aero will have "more new features and a unique hardware design."

"HTC has traditionally offered different variants of its flagship device, such as the HTC One max, and the HTC One M9+, so offering a phablet version of the Aero would not be totally out of character for HTC," Phone Arena said.

"The device is said to sport a Quad HD (1440 x 2560 pixels) display, although the size isn't yet known. This will make it the first HTC device with Quad HD display to be officially available in the US," GSM Arena also revealed.

In addition, the Hima Aero will reportedly have the latest Gorilla Glass in Corning's possession and "an advanced rear camera with f/1.9 aperture," plus RAW photography support.

Further, the Hima Aero, as mentioned, will be available in the U.S. and will be carried by AT&T before the year ends, as also revealed by "accurate" social media leaker Evan Blass.

Tech Times speculated that the Hima Aero could be the revamped Hero phone Wang announced in the wake of One M9's disappointing revenues. Right now, however, very little is known of the upcoming device, although it is expected to be out in October, as previously declared by HTC's CEO.

Meanwhile, the Aero is said to be scheduled for a November release, which somehow hinted that it may not be a flagship product.

"The Aero will have a 2560 x 1440 pixel screen, which is currently only seen on top-of-the-range hardware such as the LG G4," Digital Trends said, citing prevalent rumors spread in cybersphere. "The One M9 has a 1080p display, but the limited release One M9+ does have a 1440p screen resolution."

"The size of the display isn't mentioned, but the rumor says the Gorilla Glass 4 glass panel covering it will be 2.5D, meaning it'll have a slight curve at the edge, just like the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus," the site added.
