There are talks that “Fallout 4” will feature a gear repair system. The gameplay trailer presented at E3 2015 may have shown some clues on the things to expect in the upcoming game.

PC Gamer’s Christopher Livingston noticed that there were a number of changes to the repair system. Livingston reviewed the gameplay trailer of “Fallout 4” presented at E3 2015 and cited that when Pip-Boy was presented, and the character goes through the inventory past the weapons, no CND was displayed, which is the small meter that existed on Pip-Boy in “Fallout 3” to determine the current condition of the player’s weapon.

Livingston pointed out that the same applied to the character’s clothing and armor. There current condition was not shown during the weapon customizing parts of the footage. The power armor of the character had a health value, although it was without a CND meter.

The footage also presented that while using Pip-Boy, players can move their arm around to check the device at various angles. The repair system may possibly be a visual one, allowing gamers to look down at the weapon they are holding to see if it required fixing, simply based on physical appearance, based on the same PC Gamer report.

Livingston mentioned his observations to Pete Hines, Vice President of Marketing and PR at Bethesda Software. Hines answered that they were not supposed to discuss the details, as stated by Todd Howard. The Bethesda team may have made a number of improvements, particularly in the gear repair system. In “Fallout 3,” players pointed out their concern over deteriorating weapons that they earned in prior stages. It would be ideal to have the ability to restore a number of favorite items later in the game.

Game Rant cited that Bethesda improved several features in the upcoming game, such as tweaking the VATS combat system, providing gamers the ability to customize weapons, create settlements and build armor and adding more dialogue and featuring full voice-acting with the main characters.

At QuakeCon 2015, Kotaku cited a number of features to expect in “Fallout 4.” There will be various new companions available. The leveling system works differently, with perks linked to special stats and not to levels. Computer hacking, lockpicking and bloody mess perk are also back.

“Fallout 4” is set to launch on November 10, 2015 and will be playable on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. More details and updates about the possible gear repair system are expected in the following weeks.
