LG recently announced the release of the new LG Bello II model. The smartphone is a midrange device that features a number of pretty impressive specs and features.

The handset will succeed the LG Bello, which was released in 2014. It will become available in India and Latin America in July 2015. The device will also launch in Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States in the third quarter of 2015. In Brazil and Chile, the Bello II will be known as Prime II. In Mexico, India and the CIS, it will be referred to as Max.

GSM Arena reported that the LG Bello II model includes a 1.3GHz quad-core processor. It also has a 5.0-inch FWVGA with an 854 x 480 pixel display. The device has 1GB of RAM, 8GB of expandable internal memory and a 2,540mAh battery. The handset has an 8-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front camera. The dimensions are 140.8 x 71.6 x 9.6mm and it weighs 155 grams. The Bello II also runs on the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system out of the box and includes camera features like the Selfie Flash and Gesture Shot. As for connectivity, the phone has Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, USB 2.0, Bluetooth 4.0 and A-GPS. The available colors are gold, white and titan.

The phone also has a microSD expansion card slot. Compared to the LG Bello, the new model doubled its storage capacity. The device also includes the new LG UX user interface. There will be single and dual-SIM models available, based on a report by CNet.

Digital Trends wrote that instead of following the design of the LG G4, the Bello 2 featured a more personal design. There are no rear-mounted volume and sleep/wake key controls, however, which used to be present on the first Bello. The Bello 2 is thicker and has a 9.6mm frame, compared to the Bello’s 10.7mm frame. The midrange phone has a number of software pre-installed which can also be found on the LG G4, such as Knock Code. It is expected to capture decent shots especially when taking selfies because of the special flash feature.

The official price of the LG Bello 2 has not yet been announced, but more news and details are expected when the phone rolls out later in July and in the third quarter of 2015. It is expected to be well-received by users who are looking for a good camera for taking selfies at an affordable price.
