Good news for "Fallout" fans as Bethesda has revealed new details about "Fallout 4." Moreover, the company promises that the gameplay would be better than ever.

One of the biggest criticisms about the new "Fallout" games is that the gunplay could be a bit awful at times as unlike traditional first person shooters, "Fallout" games takes the stats of character or enemy and uses that as a guide as to determine whether the shot would hit or miss or it would determine whether a shot would do enormous damage or simply take a tick away from the life of the enemy.

However, that may change for "Fallout 4" as reports indicate that players with good aim or players with skills at traditional first person shooters may find the gunplay of "Fallout 4" to be in league with what they are good at.

According to Damian Seeto of Attack of the Fanboy, Todd Howard has admitted that the gunplay in previous "Fallout" games were not as good as they had hoped and Bethesda is doing everything they can to make the gunplay of the game a bit better.

Citing an interview with the Telegraph, Attack of the Fanboy has reported that Howard noted that "Fallout 4" would still have some form of randomness based from character stats and dice rolls as Howard admits that "Fallout 4" RPG first and foremost but Howard notes that it is their goal to make "Fallout 4" feel great as an action game.

As was noted by Howard, Players can compensate for lower stats if they have good aim but he warns that good twitch reflexes cannot be used as a crutch for the entire game as stats are still an important factor if you want to get somewhere with the gunplay in the game.

Howard also noted that the overpowered "Vault-Tec Assisted Targeting System" or VATS has been depowered somewhat but notes that the new VATS system in "Fallout 4" gives more players some control as the removal of the time stop feature of VATS in exchange for bullet time slo mo would give the game some balance.

"It's very, very slow and you'll see the percentages change because the person is moving behind or coming out of a wall. So queuing up the shot at the right time matters. And while the playback is happening, the criticals are not random, you assign which shot is the critical one and you load up that bar. So it's a little bit more under your control, not a lot, but just enough to make it feel better," says Howard.

"Fallout 4" is set to be released on November 10, 2015 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
