Your mornings can be really productive simply by trying to get rid of these 'unhealthy' morning routines. Some of us may be really used to doing these, but if we like to have a better and brighter day ahead, we kiss these things goodbye.

1. Hating your alarm clock and hitting the snooze button

According to YouGov's research, only 1 in 7 Americans wakes up feeling fresh and happy every day of the week. So it's really not just you who think it's actually jarring and stressful. We've got peeps who are also enslaved by these 'wake-up' signals.

No: Hitting that snooze button and drifting back to sleep as these only worsen the situation - making you feel more tired and really groggy.

Yes: Alarm clocks should be our morning buddy. So, turn it off with a smile and take a deep breath to start the day right. Try waking up minutes before the alarm buzzes - setting your biological clock and of course, getting enough sleep.

2. Running out of breath right after opening your eyes

Inhale and exhale, breathe some fresh air. Giving yourself a few minutes to do some stretching and breathing exercises really does the magic of waking up with positive and good vibes. This can also be a perfect time to pray, discern, set your priorities for the day, and talk to oneself.

3. Working in bed

Checking and replying to emails, updating your social media accounts, and making a call can give you a bad day. You may be a workaholic and the attachment to the digital world can literally affect you and probably ruin your day, too. And since most of our stresses are stuck in our phones and emails, it's better to check them in the mid-morning, hours after waking up, when we have already conditioned our mind and body. Eliminating your chances of being exhausted early in the morning is indeed in your hands. So, you decide!

4. Picking up your phone even before getting up

According to a report, average phone users pick up their device more than 1,500 times a week, reach out for their phones very early in the morning, and do several tasks in their mobiles even before they get out of bed.

No doubt, most of us are guilty of immediately grabbing our phones to do several tasks as soon as we've opened our eyes. Our being overly reliant to our mobile phones totally affect our daily activities, social interaction, judgment, as well as our relationships especially if we do this first thing in the morning.

Nomophobic? Now, this video helps you find out if you're undeniably addicted to your phone.

5. Sighing

Warning: You may feel tired seeing her sigh over and over.

A deep sigh is worth a thousand words for it can really mean a lot. Sighing heavily because you're annoyed, frustrated, and unmotivated may imbibe negativity and make you feel more unhappy and dead tired. Some study shows that frequent and excessive sighing can cause heigthened risks to some chronic health problems. You don't want that, do you?

Work your way in correcting your usual morning routines and let each go one-by-one.

Rise and shine. Have a beautiful day ahead!
