A new game called “The Peanuts Movie: Snoopy’s Grand Adventure” will be coming to gaming platforms soon.
Activision announced that the side-scrolling platform game is currently under development and will launch together with the upcoming film “The Peanuts Movie” later in 2015. The game will be available on the PlayStation 4, Wii U, Xbox 360, Xbox One and Nintendo 3DS on November 6, 2015. The game and movie will launch three days earlier in North America based on a report by PlayStationLifestyle.The game might not release on the PlayStation 3.
The game will focus on the character Snoopy tracking down Charlie Brown and other characters from the popular Peanuts comics in a sophisticated hide-and-seek approach. Snoopy will explore various worlds, collect jelly beans and discover costumes based on the several guises he had in the past 65 years. Each costume will provide him with unique traits and abilities, including the power to fly, IGN.com reported.
“The Peanuts Movie: Snoopy’s Grand Adventure” also features co-operative play which will let a second player take on the role of Woodstock to open new paths and distract enemies while flying and helping the lovable beagle.Destructoid wrote that the game appears like a standard platformer with the same animation style as the movie.
The game will also include flight stages that allow him to fly as the Flying Ace. He will travel to various places like Paris and even the moon. Each environment is beautiful depicted in the same way as the actual movie to make Snoopy’s daydreams come to life. The game will also feature some of the same voice talents from the movie. The controls are reportedly easy to learn to suit gamers of various ages.
As for the movie, it follows the adventures of Charlie Brown and Snoopy. ComingSoon revealed that the film will be a 3D CGI animated comedic adventure. Snoopy and his team will pursue their archenemy in the skies, while his best friend Charlie Brown has his own memorable quest back home.A new girl moves into town and Charlie soon develops a crush on her. 20th Century Fox will be producing the movie, Steve Martino is directing while Craig Schulz wrote the screenplay. The movie will feature actors Noah Schnapp, Hadley Belle Miller, Venus Schultheis, AJC Tecce, Noah Johnston, Francesca Capaldi, Alexander Garfin, Mariel Sheets, Mar Mar, William Alexander Wunsch, Rebecca Bloom, Madisyn Shipman and Anastasia Bredikhina.
