Good news for gamers as The "Red Dead Redemption 2" release date, along with some details about the plot and gameplay, may have been leaked online if reports and rumors are to be believed.

According to Sophia Smith of CrossMap, an alleged former developer for Rockstar who called himself AnonDN1978 has revealed a bunch of info regarding the plot and the gameplay of "Red Dead Redemption 2".

As was noted in the report, AnonDN1978 explained that the reason why he leaked these various "Red Dead Redemption 2" details was because he was furious at his former employers at Rockstar.

AnonDN1978 revealed that "Red Dead Redemption 2" is going to be called "Red Dead Redemption 2: Legends of the West" and would be available for the next gen systems only, meaning it would only appear on the PS4 and Xbox One and it would not be available for the PS3 and Xbox One, making it the first true next-gen title from Rockstar. The report also mentions a PC release which is surprising since the first "Red Dead Redemption" game was not released for the platform.

Smith also reported that AnonDN1978 gave the names of the playable protagonists for "Red Dead Redemption 2".

Players would get to play with three characters for the duration of the game, the first one is a customizable character that the player could manipulate to their liking while the other two playable characters are named Seth and Irish.

Seth is a Kansas City native who became a treasure hunter after leaving his life of being a bank teller behind while Irish is a native from Ireland who will visit America on his 21st birthday.

According to AnonDN1978, "Red Dead Redemption 2" would take place in the same area as "Red Dead Redemption" and that would also feature two new areas for players to wander in.

The report also mentions that similar to "GTA V", players would be able to buy safehouses that you can customize and have it transfer to the multiplayer portion of the game. And just like the customizable vehicles in "GTA V", players can also customize horses in "Red Dead Redemption 2".

Meanwhile, Hema Vaishnavi of Vine Report stated that while Rockstar has not yet given an official release date for "Red Dead Redemption 2" for the PS4 and Xbox One, it is expected that the game would be available by 2016.
