Jennifer Lawrence, Chris Martin Split Rumors: Is Nicholas Hoult The Reason?

Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin have called it quits for the second time.

Based on an exclusive report by Us Weekly, Lawrence and Martin dated for almost one year. They first split in the winter of 2014 for one month but reunited in December. A source said that the two let romance run its course. At the moment, it seems that the breakup will be the last one.

One insider told Us Weekly, “Jen has been working nonstop and they never saw each other.”

Since her second split with the 38-year-old Coldplay frontman, the 24-year-old actress has been spending more time with ex-boyfriend Nicholas Hoult. The actor is Lawrence’s co-star in “X-Men: Apocalypse”.

An insider said about Lawrence and Hoult, “They’re on great terms now. And their families have stayed close.”

In May 2015, Lawrence and Hoult took a photo with Bryan Singer, director of “X-Men: Apocalypse.”

ComingSoon reported that Lawrence played the shapeshifter Mystique while Hoult played Beast in the “X-Men” franchise films. The two reportedly became a couple after spending a lot of time on set. Lawrence and Hoult were said to have parted ways in May 2014, although the news surfaced only later in August. Before their second breakup, Hoult and Lawrence also split in 2012 but got back together.

Mirror previously reported that Hoult was upset when Lawrence opted to go to a Dior fashion show instead of attending the Wireless festival. An insider revealed that Hoult was not pleased when Lawrence chose not to see him at the festival since they rarely spend time together already. The two were said to have split on decent terms but worked closely again to shoot the next sequel of “X-Men”.

Lawrence and Hoult did not comment on the former's recent breakup with Martin. It also remains unclear whether Hoult is on the rebound and looking to enter a relationship with the actress again.

News.com reported that the actress was recently spotted in New York, where she is allegedly searching for a new apartment. She was also seen dining at Nobu restaurant.

In the meantime, Martin was spotted walking arm-in-arm with Kylie Minogue at 1:00 a.m. in London. Minogue’s representative denied that the two were romantically tied. Martin’s estranged wife, Gwyneth Paltrow, also recently separated from Brad Falchuk after dating for a few months, based on a report by InTouchWeekly. Some fans hope that the two might reunite soon.
