Floyd Mayweather, Jr. has been known to invest heavily on supercars and just when you thought that his current $3.8 million Ferrari would be hard to top, something does.

The said car is a ultra-rare supercar in the Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita, a $4.8 million supercar where only three of its kind are available in the world.

The car can go from 0-60 in 2.9 seconds and can has a top speed of up to 250 MPH.

Mayweather has reportedly had his eyes on the Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita for quite some time now but it looks like he will finally seal the deal and upgrade from his Ferrari.

The whopping price of the Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita is practically peanuts if one considers the amount of money the undefeated American boxer takes home in a year.

Mayweather was once again named the highest paid athlete by Forbes after banking in $300 million from the last 12 months. A large chunk of those earnings came from his May 2 fight against Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao.

Incidentally, Pacquiao comes in second with $160 million based on the report released by Forbes just recently.

Obi Okeke of Fusion Luxury Motors says that the Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita is on its way. In fact he says that the deal could be just 48 hours away as he has already started imported the car to the Los Angeles showroom.

Mayweather is currently at the BET Awards in Los Angeles. Counting the days, it shouldn’t be surprising to see the Floyd Jr. riding around on his new ride in the coming days.

Mayweather is set to fight once again in September though it remains to be seen who he will actually face.

Amir Khan was widely believed to have the inside track to face the undefeated American though Mayweather dropped a couple of less-heralded names like Andre Berto and Karim Mayfield.

A new name being floated right now is Timothy Bradley, Jr. who is coming of a controversial unanimous win over erstwhile undefeated Jesse Vargas.

Mayweather has said that this would be the last fight of his career, a win which would allow him to equalize Rocky Marciano’s 49-0 feat.

But the doors are not yet fully closed for a 2016 fight which could possibly be a Mayweather vs. Pacquiao II. Though the first fight did leave a lot disappointed, a rematch between the two iconic boxers still lingers in the air. And considering it could churn in more money, such is something that coudl sway Mayweather to fight at least one more time.
