Prince George apparently has the right touch to grow plants.

The royal family spent some time at Gloucestershire during the Father’s Day weekend. In an exclusive report by Hello Magazine, the almost 2-year-old prince recently helped his 66-year-old grandfather Prince Charles plant two trees on the grounds of Highgrove House, a country retreat in Gloucestershire that the Prince of Wales purchased in 1980. Princes William and Harry frequently visited the place during their childhood. The place is also available for public tours.

People.com confirmed that they planted two trees, one of which was a Winter Orange Lime. They positioned the plant on the driveway close to the front door of the grand country home in Tetbury. According to one visitor, Prince Charles is obviously very proud of his grandson. The toddler will most likely remember some of the lessons his granddad taught him and become more environmentally conscious as he gets older.

Charles is an avid horticulturalist and seemed to have been giving George lessons on having a green thumb. Prince Charles personally likes to spend time at the Highgrove gardens, which draw over 30,000 visitors every year. Prince Charles is also known for his fondness of organic farming and the environment. He founded the Prince of Wales Foundation in the United States in 1997 to raise funds to support sustainable development in rural and urban communities and the environment, as well as to support areas of education, arts and cultural programs, People.com reported.

Both Charles and George have been spending much quality time together, especially in the outdoors. People cited that earlier in June 2015, Prince George was spotted playing on the grass on the sidelines at the Gloucestershire Festival of Polo, where his father and uncle Prince Harry were playing a polo match. Prince George has also been a more common sight among royal fans since the birth of his younger sister, Princess Charlotte. He was seen enjoying the displays at Trooping the Colour. He was also found running around with his cousins at the Beaufort Polo Club in Gloucestershire. On Father’s Day, Prince William also celebrated his 33rd birthday and spent some private time with his children, based on the same Hello! Magazine article.

Royal fans are always on the lookout for the next family gathering. Princess Charlotte is set to be baptized on July 5, 2015 in Sandringham. Sandringham is the same church where the late Princess Diana was baptized in 1961.
