Selena Gomez has got a new song! But does it reek of her former loves a la Taylor Swift?

SelGo's latest single, "Good For You," was revealed June 21 shortly after it was leaked, exciting her fans who have been waiting for a new song from the 22-year-old for the last couple of months. Rapper ASAP Rocky is featured as a guest artist on the track.

So, who is Selena singing about? Was she thinking of former love Justin Bieber when she recorded the song? Or was Zedd more the man in her imagination as she sang her lines?

According to her voice coach Stevie Mackie, it could be the Biebs she's singing about.

"She doesn't mention him directly, but one could deduce that she is [singing about him]. Most artists sing about their present or past relationships in their music. Selena's no different," he told Hollywood Life.

If we examine the lyrics, part of it has her singing, "Let me show you how proud I am to be yours; Leave this dress a mess on the floor; And still look good for you, good for you."

She also sings the following lines: "Gonna wear that dress you like, skin-tight; Do my hair up real, real nice."

Eagle-eyed Selenators can recall those post-JB breakup phases where Selena would dress in outfits that appeared to make Justin regret his loss. Perhaps she's singing about the times she'd prove that she looks good enough for him?

Considering the lyrics mentioned, fans could be forgiven for getting all excited and impatient over the release of the song's video. She had already teased the latter last week in a clop that showed her in "a patterned magenta-coloured robe opened up to show off some of her cleavage as she sprawled out on a bright green couch," as MailOnline described.

"'The Heart Wants What It Wants' hitmaker looked restless as she tossed and turned while showing off her toned torso and svelte legs," the publication went on to say. "The former girlfriend of Justin Bieber looked gorgeous as her raven-coloured locks are dishevelled and she sported natural, complimentary make-up on her face finished off with a swipe of shiny pink lip."

That teaser may somehow remind Selenators of that time a snap of herself in bed and in a negligee, apparently speaking to former boyfriend Zedd, was shared on social media. Which then could spark speculations of whether the song was really meant for the DJ, after all.
