Samsung is rumored to release a trio of follow-up to its latest Galaxy S6 models very soon. Reportedly, these are the Galaxy S6 Plus, Galaxy S6 Edge Plus and Galaxy S6 Mini.

According to Android Pit, the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus is believed to be yet another flagship phablet of the company. An initial glimpse of the device was leaked by YouTube user Marques Brownlee. It is rumored to have a dual-edge display, just like the Galaxy S6 Edge. The screen is reported at 5.7 inches, being a "super-size" version of the Galaxy S6. Rumors also have it that the new product will have the same speaker, sensor capabilities and fingerprint scanner.

Meanwhile, Sam Mobile reported that the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus may run Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box. The device is expected to launch in the third quarter of 2015, or around the IFA event in September.

Android M will allegedly become available on the device at a later time. There are rumors, which claimed that the device may release with a 5.5-inch display, but it seems that Samsung prefers a bigger 5.7-inch screen, similar to the latest Galaxy Note devices.

Android Pit added that they expect the Galaxy S6 Edge to have the same processor, RAM, display resolution and camera as the original Galaxy S6.

As cited by Android Origin, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Mini is also set to launch soon. It will be a smaller version of the flagship model, and will most likely feature a 4.6-inch HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, Adreno 418 GPU and 2 GB of RAM.

The outlet took note of more rumors, which point to the Mini as having a 16 MP rear camera, a 5 MP front snapper and optical image stabilization. Interestingly, the product is pegged to arrive this month or the next.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 Plus is seen as a prelude to the highly-anticipated Galaxy Note 5. The device is said to feature a 5.5-inch display and Snapdragon 808 processor.

As followers would know, Samsung introduces its phablets at "Unpacked" events, so this year's IFA could be an ideal time for the arrival of the S6 Plus handsets. But until we hear from the Korean tech giant, all these things are best taken with healthy pinches of salt.

What do you think of bigger Galaxy S6 devices coming soon? Are they necessary despite the expected launching of Galaxy Note 5? Sound off in the comments section.
