Recent rumors are saying that a new Samsung Galaxy Note is already in the works. Though the Korean giant has not yet confirmed any of the speculations, reports about the imminent arrival of the new phablet continues to be popular around the web. In this article, we will discuss some of the details about the rumored Samsung Galaxy Note 5.

'Project Noble'

Sam Mobile was the first to speculate about the new phablet. The news site, which focuses on producing mostly Samsung-related reports, allegedly spotted two new Samsung devices -- one with a model number SM-G928S and another with model number SM-N920F. The latter is believed to be the new Note phablet and it is known internally as "Project Noble."

Display

In a separate report, Sam Mobile detailed that the new Note 5 would have a 2K or a 4K flat-screen Super AMOLED display. It said that Samsung has not yet decided on which to choose but both choices are being considered.

Android Pit however reported that Samsung would likely go with the 2K screen, citing G For Games' report which said that it will not be the 4K one.

Design

As regards the new phablet's design, Android Pit said it would likely look like its predecessor, Galaxy Note 4. A photo revealed by Patently Mobile showed the rumored Galaxy Note 5 and its stylus which can be ejected from the device through a "gesture or voice-command." The device is rumored to have an all-metal body.

Camera

Android Pit said the new device is likely to get at least 16 megapixel main camera and an 8 megapixel front camera.

Processor

It is believed that Samsung would go for the Exynos 7422 processor for the new device. But, Sam Mobile remains skeptical about it saying that Samsung is also pondering to put in the new Exynos 7430 chipset in the new Galaxy Note 5.

RAM and Battery

Android Pit says it is likely that it would get a 3 or 4 GB of RAM. Plus, it will be powered by a 3,000 mAh battery. Also, it is possible that the device would be water-resistant.

Release Date

Earlier, it was reported that the new phablet would come out by June or July. But Samsung Electronics President Shin Jong-kyun denied reports. Now, reports from Tech Times and Expert Reviews said the next high-end phablet would likely come out in September during the IFA event which is slated for September 4 to 9. Both reports have cited that previous Note phablets had September launches so it would also be likely for fans to see the new device on that same month.

Price

Android Pit estimates the new device would have a price tag of $1,000.

Edge Variant?

Sam Mobile has also revealed that a Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Edge, dubbed as the "Project Zen," might also come out. The Edge version is said to be a dual-edge curved 5.4-incher or 5.5-incher device with an 8 megapixel front camera and a 16 megapixel main camera and a Snapdragon 808 or Exynos 7422 or Exynos 7430 processor.

Samsung has yet to confirm these rumors.
