When will the much awaited Moto G (2015) finally come out?

According to the latest report of Yibada, there is a possibility that the Moto G 2015 would come out next month, following the statements of Lenovo chairman and CEO Yang Yuanqing.

In an interview with The Telegraph during the TechWorld event in China, Yuanqing revealed that Lenovo would be releasing its first Motorola handset (since its acquisition of the firm) "as soon as the summer," adding that more "exciting products" are also coming "later this year."

"We have many new models in development with the Moto brands...so you may see in summer us launching some very exciting products, including phones and watches," Yuanqing was quoted in the report as saying. Another Lenovo executive, Liu Jun, has also revealed their intention to bring the two brands to many markets despite their differences.

Though Yuanqing and Jun have not identified which Motorola device to watch out for, Yibada bets it would be the next Moto G phone.

Day Herald in a separate report said that a third generation Moto G is expected to come out this July. It added that the new Moto G 2015 would likely have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 610 SoC processor and a 4G LTE connectivity feature. The news outlet also hinted about the probable launch of Motorola X3 which is said to boast of its 16 megapixel camera, hexa-core Snapdragon 808 chip, and 4 GB of RAM.

Android Pit earlier reported that the next Moto G 2015 looks like its predecessor, Moto G 2014. Moto G (2015) is said to have a 5 inches display with a screen resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. Its dimensions are at 141.5 mm x 70.7 mm x 11 mm. It would weigh 155 grams.

The device is expected to be available on 8GB and 16 GB variants. It will have a 1 GB RAM and will also have a microSD slot which could expand the device's memory up to 32 GB. The new Moto G variant has a bigger 2390 mAh battery. The device is said to get the latest Android L 5.0 Lollipop update, an 8-megapixel main camera with LED flash, auto focus, and 4X digital zoom. Plus it also has a 2 megapixel front camera.

"The 8MP camera on the Moto G 4G (2015) isn't spectacular, but software features like HDR go some way to making up for the mediocre hardware. It's not better or worse than we'd expect at this price, however, and we really like the camera software, which is very intuitive. Simply swipe up and down to zoom in and out, tap anywhere on the screen to take a picture, and swipe in from the left and right to access the Settings and Gallery," Android Pit said in its review.
