It might come as a surprise for some but Nina Dobrev and Drake actually have something in common. The two both starred in Canadian teen drama "Degrassi" and with its finale, some are asking whether Nina and Drake would be back in the show for a reunion.

According to E! Online, the Canadian drama, which started back in 2001, will air its finale episode on July 31. Keith Dawkins, senior vice-president and general manager of Nicktoons, said that the show had a successful run of 14 episodes and tackled so many important topics about the realities of what teens face today.

"For an incredible 14 seasons, Degrassi has been a groundbreaking show tackling so many important topics that real teens face in their everyday lives," he said. "In the final episodes on TeenNick and through the hour-long special and social activations, we hope to say goodbye in a way that is both fitting to the show and 'Degrassi's' passionate fan base."

The management also expressed their thanks to everyone who has been part of "Degrassi" throughout all of its 385 episodes.

"We thank all those at TeenNick who have worked so hard over the years to help us create a television series that changes with the times and continues to authentically connect and interact with the youth audience," executive producer Stephen Stohn said.

"Degrassi" served as a stepping stones for some major stars like Nina Dobrev and rapper Drake. Since Nina is out of "The Vampire Diaries," fans are hoping that they could see the actress return on Degrassi High once more.

However, according to Hollywood Life, Dobrev and Drake's return to the show might not be possible.

"There has been zero rumblings of a return and nothing has been filmed with either of them. So the chances of them returning at this point are not very likely," said the report.

IB Times revealed that in the final episode of "Degrassi," the seniors will prepare for prom as the school year comes to an end. Their principal will also implement a new rule as response to the "oomfchat" scandal.

"Degrassi" has a couple of awards under its belt. The Canadian show was nominated for three Emmy Awards. The show also won 19 Gemini Awards, 10 Canadian Screen Awards, the Peabody Award, a Television Critics Association and Two Teen Choices Awards.
