The "Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection" will be coming in October 2015.

The collection was revealed to become available on October 7, 2015 in Europe, and on October 9 in the United States, when a banner ad from the PlayStation Store leaked. An official trailer was shortly presented to confirm that the pack was coming soon. Game Spot reported that Neil Druckman, co-director of "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End", seemed to have to confirmed the pack and an official announcement is expected very soon.

In March 2015, Druckman and Bruce Straley explained the delay of "Uncharted 4".

"Giving us a few extra months will make certain that "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" not only meets the team's high standards but the high standards that gamers have come to expect from a Naughty Dog title," they said in a Game Spot report.

The Independent reported that the collection will include "Uncharted: Drake's Fortune", "Uncharted 2: Among Thieves", and "Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception." Gamers who will purchase the collection also gain access to the multiplayer beta version of "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End". Furthermore, individuals who pre-order the collection will also acquire single player skins, a Golden 92FS and a Golden AK-47. Pre-ordering the digital version will provide access to a PlayStation 4 for fast download.

Since "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" will not be releasing until 2016, Sony announced on June 4, 2015 that "Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection" will be launched to help gamers with the long wait. The three games, which were originally launched for the PlayStation 3, have been visually upgraded so that users can play at 1080p at 60 fps, based on a report by Engadget. Bluepoint Games are responsible for the re-mastered versions of the three games, although these were all created by Naughty Dog. The upgraded versions will present a smooth transition to the PlayStation 4 console.

Arne Meyer of Naughty Dog said that Bluepoint Games is an expert in re-mastered releases. Meyer added that they have been working closely with Bluepoint to move their engine and make "The Nathan Drake Collection" an exemplary game, based on the same Game Spot report. Moving to the PS4 allowed them to have more density in the classic games.

The official website described the "Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection" as a genre-defining epic that revolutionized adventure storytelling. Gamers will follow the journey of Nathan Drake around the globe, from his simple start until his greatest achievements. The leak did not reveal any more details.
