iPad Mini 4 to be the Thinnest, Lightest Tablet? 2015 Release Date, Specs, Features & Rumors Here!

There are rumors that the iPad Mini 4 is set for an October 2015 release, and it could be the thinnest and lightest tablet to date.

Vine Report revealed that Apple fans were anticipating the iPad Mini 4 to be unveiled at the Spring Forward Event in March this year. However, they saw the launches of the Retina MacBook Pro Gold and the Apple Watch instead. There have also been reports that the iPad Mini 4 will be launched together with the iPad Pro in June 2015.

MacWorld wrote that Apple will set the announcement and launch dates in the same manner as the previous iPad Minis, so users should expect the device to become available in November 2015. Based on its previous iPad Mini releases, the tablet was unveiled in the middle of or late October and launched early in November. Similarly, the 4th Generation is expected to launch two weeks after the official announcement.

As for the design, specs and features, MacWorld reported that the iPad 4 Mini will have a 7.9-inch screen. Mac Fan magazine stated that the device will feature the 64-bit A8X processor, which is present in the iPad Air 2. It will also feature a thinner design, which appears more like the recent iPad Air. There are also rumors that the new device might come with the A9 processor, which will be available in the new iPhones that will launch in September 2015. More rumors specify that the iPad Mini 4 will have 2GB of RAM, 802.11 ac, 128GB of storage space and Wi-Fi. Inquisitr reported that the device will be the thinnest tablet ever developed and will also be lightweight. The device is said to include 128GB of storage space and the Touch ID sensor as well as operate on the new iOS 9.

Vine Report added that the iPad Mini 4 might retail anywhere between $400 and $600 which experts consider as quite expensive, if Apple plans to boost sales after the disappointing upgrade of the iPad Mini 3. MacWorld stated that Apple will stop the production of the original iPad Mini and iPad Mini 3 as soon as the iPad Mini 4 becomes available, so users are only left with the iPad Mini 2 as the more affordable alternative.

More details about the iPad Mini 4 and other coming Apple products are expected at the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference on June 8, 2015. Overall, users expect the upcoming device to be a better upgrade than what its predecessor presented.
