Manny Pacquiao might fight in Dubai next.

Top Rank chief Bob Arum is planning to make Dubai his next boxing stage. Arum spoke to Allaa Ousman of Emirates 24/7 and indicated that he already began discussions with Akbar Productions, a promotional company based in Dubai, to make a boxing event happen in the United Arab Emirates. If negotiations are successfully, Arum is considering bringing Pacquiao with him as a ringside guest.

Allegedly, Akbar Productions is also interested in hosting Pacquiao match in Dubai. The Philippine Star also cited how Akbar Productions noticed Khan after his win against Algieri on May 29, 2015.

Arum said, "Right now we are planning November event. Hopefully Manny will come to it as a guest. We will have three of four title fights on the same night. It will be a spectacular event," the promoter said.

He added, "If it is successful we will look forward to doing a Pacquiao fight in Dubai next year," Arum added.

"Manny is also an adventurer. I proposed to him to fight in Macau. He was very taken with it. Both (fights) were very successful. He has always talked to me about fighting in Dubai. He always talked to me about it. He had visited Dubai," said Arum. He noted that so many Filipinos live the area, so Manny will feel at home being there.

As for Pacquiao's potential opponent, Amir Khan reportedly seems viable, after the latter won against Chris Algieri via a unanimous decision. In a Telegraph article, Khan said that he was approached by Mayweather's camp to talk about the possibility of a fight happening between him and the undefeated champ. Khan said that he wanted to fight either Mayweather or Pacquiao, but would prefer the former if he was given the option. Khan announced after his victory that he wanted to face Floyd Mayweather next. However, a fight against Pacquiao seems more likely, considering how Mayweather does not like to fight outside the United States, especially in the last match of his six-fight contract with Showtime.

In the meantime, PhilStar reported that Pacquiao is healing from his shoulder injury. He last lost against Mayweather in the richest fight in boxing history, but is expected to fight twice in 2016. Pacquiao is more likely to agree fighting Amir Khan at a venue outside the United States. He fought and won against Chris Algieri and Brandon Rios in Macau before.
