Apple's iOS 8.3 just came out several weeks ago, but there are already reports about the iOS 8.4 at this point. Naturally, a new version of the tech giant's operating system also comes with a jailbreak tool made by programmers.

The process of jailbreaking means unlocking the smartphone to remove the restrictions placed on it by default. As expected, Apple is not a huge fan of the procedure and they always attempt to fight the jailbreak community by fixing the loopholes, but this seems like a useless effort because a new jailbreak method always comes out.

Master Herald claimed that nobody has released a stable jailbreak tool for the iOS 8.3 yet, which could mean that the jailbreak programmers' focus is on the impending iOS 8.4. Beta tests for the upcoming OS has already been conducted, with someone "apparently already managed to jailbreak the OS," the news outlet added.

Apple has been watchful about the matter and was fast in patching up the loophole, "stating that it will be fixed in the final release of the operating system," Master Herald noted. But as usual, the jailbreak community is ready to discover more tools when Apple finally releases iOS 8.4.

We also previously reported that jailbreakers will most likely not release the tool for the iOS 8.2 or 8.3 yet, given that well-known jailbreaks TaiG and Pangu are still waiting for the software update before trying to make a jailbreak for iOS 8.3.

Master Herald took note that "there are also claims that 8.3 has actually been jailbroken already, although it's not entirely clear if that tool is compatible with 8.3 specifically, as it seems to be aimed at the next version of the OS." There are also unverified reports saying that the jailbreak for the iOS 8.3 can crack the OS' protection.

9 to 5 Mac claimed that Apple could be working on a new anti-jailbreak tool, a Kernel level security feature known as "Rootless." Rootless will be used for both OS X and iOS to thwart malware, increase the safety of extensions, and protect the security of sensitive data.

Master Herald also wrote about some claims that the jailbreak community has set their sights further and are already waiting for the iOS 9 to be released and directly target it with a jailbreak. But the main point of all these is: once the new iOS comes out, both regular users and jailbreak fans will get most of what they expect. Users will get new features and bug fixes, while jailbreak fans will get to utilize the freedom they wanted in their iPhone devices.

The last most successful jailbreak was for the iOS 8.2 beta, which was released last November by TaiG, Vine Report wrote.
