The "Fifty Shades" trilogy is set to be retold from a man's perspective.

E.L. James, the author of the best-selling erotic romance novels, has announced that a fourth installment of the series will be released later this June, Fox News Latino reported. This time, the book will be in the point of view of one of its lead characters, Christian Grey.

According to the news outlet, the upcoming novel will be titled "Grey" and will be published by Vintage Books. Its release date is scheduled on June 18, which is also Christian's birthday in the books. James announced the news on her official Instagram page.

"Christian is a complex character and readers have always been fascinated by his desires and motivations, and his troubled past," the author said of the fourth novel, as quoted by The Guardian. "Also, as anyone who has ever been in a relationship knows, there are two sides to every story. It's been a great pleasure to return to my happy place - writing, being with Christian and Ana in their universe, and working with the fantastic publishing teams in the US and the UK."

In the opening page of "Grey," James indicated that the novel is dedicated to the fans who repeatedly asked for a version of the book told in Christian's POV, The Guardian noted.

The "Fifty Shades" novels were originally fan fiction inspired from the "Twilight" novels written by Stephenie Meyer, Fox News Latino wrote. Since then, the trilogy sold more than 120 million copies since it was launched in 2011. A movie adaptation of the first book was released earlier in 2015 starring Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson as Christian and Anastasia Steele, respectively. The film earned more than $500 million worldwide.

James' publisher, Arrow, said that Christian's character was someone who aims to control every part of his life.

"His world is neat, disciplined and empty -- until the moment that Anastasia Steele stumbles into his office. What is it about her that captivates him? Why can't he forget her? He is swept up in a storm of emotion he cannot comprehend and cannot resist," said the publisher, which is a part of the Random House Group, The Guardian reported.

Editor Selina Walker assured readers that "Grey" was "just as addictive as the trilogy," adding that she was "absolutely thrilled" that James decided to write a book from Christian's perspective, the news outlet added.

James, 52, placed in the New York Times bestseller lists for 133 consecutive weeks because of the "Fifty Shades" trilogy, The Guardian added. She has worked in television for 25 years before turning her attention to writing fiction.
