It is still a few months before "Fantastic Four" hits theatres and it is expected to surprise fans.

Scottish writer Mark Millar worked with 20th Century Fox as a creative consultant for the Marvel films "Fantastic Four" and "X-Men." Millar shared his thoughts about "Fantastic Four" to ComicBook.com.

"I've seen chunks of it but not the complete movie, and it's looking good. What I'm really excited for is to see how many people are surprised by it. I remember everybody bitching about Fantastic Four for about six months then the trailer came out and everyone is like 'this is really good.' I think it'll surprise people," said Millar.

When asked what he meant by "surprise," Millar answered, "I think you don't want to be in a position where everyone is expecting something and then they're disappointed. I think people are coming and they're just sort of like, hoping for the best. I think that's a good way to watch a movie."

The origin story has been changed in the film. In the comic books, the Fantastic Four acquire their special powers after being exposed to cosmic radiation during a trip into outer space. In the movie, they travel to an alternate dimension, where they are transformed after exposure to what is presumably the "Negative Zone."

ComicBook.com reported that in the movie, Susan Storm and Johnny Storm are adopted siblings, not biological as depicted in the comics. The belief is that Susan was adopted, because Dr. Franklin Storm and Johnny Storm are black. Fans were previously surprised to discover that Johnny Storm will black, played by Michael B. Jordan, but ComicBook wrote how such will have no effect or can even make the film better.

Victor Domashev or "Dr. Doom", will be played by Toby Kebbell. There are rumors that Dr. Domashev is an anti-social programmer who is known as "Doom" online. The trailers seemed to suggest that Reed Richards and Domashev used to be college friends who worked on the same project that opens the Negative Zone. Domashev is left behind while the Fantastic Four returns to Earth with their newly acquired powers.

Tim Blake Nelson will be playing the role of Harvey Elder or "Mole Man". Although Mole Man is not expected to be in action, the upcoming film might prepare for more of him in possible sequels. Actually, 20th Century Fox already has "Fantastic Four 2" slated for a June 9, 2017 release, based on another ComicBook.com report.

"Fantastic Four" will launch on August 7, 2015.
