As production for "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2" continues to roll, we're also learning more about what to expect from the upcoming movie, such as the cast.

One of the latest updates regarding the sequel is villain Shredder's new look. In fact, it appears he looks more human in part 2 than in the previous one, where the fighter sported a humongous armor and moved more like a machine. Perhaps that's because the actor wasn't in full costume yet?

"Shredder was back - albeit played by Brian Tee this time around - and he was joined by iconic criminal duo Bebop and Rocksteady in New York," MailOnline said.

"Stepping as the head bad dude, Brain was dressed in full battle worthy leathers with the character's signature spiked arm guards - which appeared to have the razor sharp spikes retracted - along with metal shin and knee guards," the publication added. "He was not wearing Shredder's scary helmet and face mask as that is no doubt the last piece of the costume to go on before filming."

Meanwhile, Brittany Ishibashi, who plays Shredder's adopted daughter Karai, was also seen on set in a "a female version of her on-screen father's look."

It can be recalled that both parts were played by different actors in part 1, namely Tohoru Masamune (Shredder) and Minae Noji (Karai).

The new look of these main baddies may get fans wondering on how they'll be different from those seen in the first movie. And will the new appearance have any connection to the film's plot?

"There are scars on Tee's face and neck - features that the true Shredder, Oroku Saki, often has," Screen Rant observed. "Hopefully there's some solid history between him and Master Splinter in the upcoming movie - they could absolutely work it in during a flashback at the lab or they could even create the conflict in this new story."

Karai's costume, which appears to look more "practical," appears to indicate that she might get involved in considerable action sequences.

Meanwhile, Bebop, played by Gary Anthony Williams, appears to be still in his human self. The same goes with Rocksteady, who is played by pro wrestler Sheamus.

Although both characters were mainly known to be humanoid animals, they were still human when they began appearing in the cartoon. It looks like TMNT 2's timeline may go back to when the two were still humans and probably show them mutating into the villainous humanoid hog and rhino, respectively.

Also appearing in the sequel are Laura Linney, Stephen Amell and Tyler Perry (as Baxter Stockman).

"Set to be directed by 'Earth to Echo's' David Green, 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2' is set for release on June 3, 2016," ComingSoon.net noted.
