Bethe Correia realized that her suicide comment against Ronda Rousey was below the belt, prompting the former to apologize.

Previously, Correia told Combate, "I want to knock her out, show to everyone that she is a lie. She wants to stand up with me, let's see. I want to humiliate her and show the word she has no MMA. She is focused on movies, books. I am much stronger, I come from a developing country, where people are struggling to survive, not to starve. It is very different from her life of reality. Under pressure, she is proving weak."

She continued to say, "When her mom put pressure on her, she ran away from home. When she lost, it was because of drugs. That's not a superhero. She is not mentally healthy, she needs to take care of herself. She is winning, so everybody is around her cheering her up, but when she realizes she is not everything that she believes she is, I don't know what might happen. I hope she does not kill herself later on (laughs)."

The Pitbull was referring to one of Rousey's personal experiences which she shared in her new book "My Fight, Your Fight." The comment by Correia was in bad taste because Rousey's father committed suicide when the former was just a child.

The undefeated champ Rousey took to Twitter to respond to the Brazilian's statement, MMA Mania wrote.

Rousey tweeted, "@bethecorreia suicide is no joke or selling point. My father will be with me the day I hand you the comeuppance you deserve."

Hours later, Correia replied to the tweet, "@RondaRousey Never knew what happened to ur dad.I'm humble enough to ask u for forgiveness. Family is a godly bless to me. See u in #UFC190".

MMA Junkie wrote that many fans speculated how Correia's statement was just a coincidence and that she had no idea about Rousey's father's suicide. However, Correia also mentioned a few details from Rousey's book such as running away from home and her past drug use. There were some who thought that Correia actually tried to get under the champ's skin by talking about suicide.

Regardless of whether it was intentional or not, Rousey is obviously angry and will no longer need extra motivation heading into UFC 190 on August 1. Rousey will face The Pitbull in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in the main card. Rousey, with a record of 11-0, is highly favored to win and deliver the "comeuppance" that Correia deserves.
