The Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini might not have the hype it once had, but the phone is still appealing to some consumers who would like a sleek, but smaller Galaxy S3-like smartphone. Up until now, the Galaxy S3 was thought to only release in international markets, but now it looks like the smartphone could land in the United States in the future.

The Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini was recently officially deemed safe for use in the United States by the FCC and received its certification. This doesn't mean that there are any immediate plans for  a U.S. release, but why bother getting it certified if the possibility didn't exist?

The Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini currently has no 4G LTE model, since Samsung wanted the device to be centered around European markets, many of which don't have LTE. If the Galaxy S3 Mini does come to the United States, then there's also a slight chance that Samsung would introduce a 4G LTE model, much like they did with the original Galaxy S3.

One of the reasons that the Galaxy S3 Mini isn't as highly anticipated as it was expected to is because of its weaker specs.

The Galaxy S3 Mini features a 4-inch Super AMOLED display and a 1GHz dual-core processor. The rear-facing camera is 5 megapixels, and the Galaxy S3 Mini will also have a VGA front-facing camera.

The good news is that the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini will come with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean upon its release. Android 4.1 Jelly introduces Google's Project Butter, which makes the entire operating system run faster and smoother, and a voice assistant named Google Now.

The Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini will release in the United Kingdom around November 10.

If the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini comes out in the United States, would you buy it?
