Demi Lovato has launched a new record label together with Nick Jonas and her manager Phil McIntyre.

The singer's joint ownership named Safehouse is in partnership with Island Records and her current label, Disney's Hollywood Records, Billboard reported. Safehouse Records, along with its creative venture with the other two companies, will handle Lovato's fifth studio album.

Jonas, 22, is currently busy working on his solo career and has released a self-titled album in 2014 containing tracks such as "Chains" and "Jealous." Lovato used to tour with the Jonas Brothers before the group split in 2013 and has starred with them in Disney Channel's "Camp Rock" films, E! News wrote.

MTV noted that Jonas worked as the musical and creative director of Lovato's Neon Lights tour last year. The two also has a duet track titled "Avalanche."

"I've worked closely with both Nick and Phil for years and we share the same point of view when it comes to making music," said Lovato of Safehouse Records, Billboard quoted. "It's incredibly exciting to be part of this new company where I'm in control of all aspects of my career. I can't wait to share what we're working on!"

On Instagram, the 22-year-old songstress expressed her thanks for the support of Walt Disney Music Group's president, Ken Bunt, and head of creative, Mio Vukovic. She wrote, "Thank you for continually taking care of me as an artist but most importantly a person. Who supports not only my music but sobriety and who were there at my party to celebrate my first year sober."

Lovato celebrated three years of sobriety in March and thanked her boyfriend, Wilmer Valderrama, for supporting her throughout her ordeals. According to her Instagram post, she "wouldn't be alive today" if it weren't for her boyfriend's help.

Lovato struggled with alcohol and cocaine addictions in the past, E! News noted. She also went through body image issues and bulimia, an eating disorder. These battles prompted the singer to seek help in a rehab center in 2010 to treat her emotional and physical issues.

The "Heart Attack" singer also gave a major shout-out to McIntyre on Instagram. In the lengthy post, she shared how her manager never gave up on her when so many others did.

"This man not only believed in me when I was 15 and made my entire career happen, but he fought so f--king hard to get me sober," Lovato wrote. "He told me he cared too much about me to watch me self-destruct. Therefore at the very end of my drinking and using he gave me one last chance. Get sober and he'll stay, or he'd have to leave. He did that out of love."

According to Lovato, McIntyre "stood his ground" and said, "If you do this I will fight this battle with you every step of the way." The singer explained on Instagram that McIntyre "literally saved" her life.
