'Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes' & More Free For PS Plus Members This June!

Six games will be available for free to PlayStation Plus subscribers in June 2015, including "Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes."

Sony announced in a blog post on May 27, 2015 that there will be four games playable on the PlayStation 4, headlined by the action-packed "Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes." The game is the latest chapter in the popular "Metal Gear" franchise. In the fifth installment, the Big Boss will reportedly be sent to a high-security Cuban military base for a dangerous rescue mission. Players have to then infiltrate the base and deal with the enemy soldiers through a variety of stealth and combat techniques.

"Ground Zeroes" was made to serve as a prologue for "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain", which is expected to launch before the end of 2015. "Ground Zeroes" is known for being a short game, with a number of gamers reportedly completing everything within only two hours, GameRant revealed.

Other games available for free on the PlayStation 4 include "Skulls of the Shogun: Bone-A-Fide Edition", which is described as a turn-based strategy game. Players, however, control an army of undead samurais. The goal is to build and strengthen the army to conquer various enemies and win back honor.

Sony also mentioned that two PS Vita games in the June 2015 lineup will also be playable on the PlayStation 4. This means that gamers can play "Exploding Zoo" by Honeyslug and "Futuridum EP Deluxe" by MixedBag on either platform. Two of the games will be available on the PlayStation 3, namely "Cloudberry Kingdom" by Pwnee Studios and "Call of Juarez: Gunslinger" by Techland. "Cloudberry Kingdom" is an attractive platform game where players go through generated levels. "Gunslinger" is the fourth installment in the "Call of Juarez" franchise.

The games will be available free of charge for PS Plus members beginning on Tuesday, June 2, 2015. This means that subscribers only have less than a week remaining to acquire the free games for May 2015, namely "Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition" and "Hohokum", based on a Polygon report.
