Will The Falcon and other Avengers show up in the upcoming "Ant Man" movie?

Empire Magazine had a special feature on the upcoming "Ant Man" movie which stars actor Paul Rudd. One of the highlights of the magazine was its interview with its director Peyton Reed who divulged some important information about the film.

One of the questions posed was whether the Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and other Avengers would show up in the movie, the director said (via Comic Book Movie), "That's classified information. That's buried. It's possible."

Cinema Blend noted that since Ant Man's appearance in "Captain America: Civil War" has already been announced, it would not be surprising to see Avengers to cameo in his film.

While it is still unsure whether we're indeed gonna see The Falcon or the Avengers in the movie, it is good to know that Reed is still considering it. Should the Avengers be in the upcoming movie? Could their appearance mean something?

"From the looks of it, Ant-Man's involvement in Civil War along with the possibility of Avenger appearances in Ant-Man, could mean an extreme war that needs all parties involved," Cinema Blend's Catarina Cowden added. Hmmmn. Another thing to look forward to. What do you think?

Reed also admitted in the interview that the transfer of the directorship to him from Edgar Wright was one of his main concerns at first.

"Was it a strange situation? Absolutely...One of my concerns upfront was, 'Someone else has developed this movie for a really long time. Can I come in and make it my own?' And that has absolutely been the case. For one thing Marvel have let me explore the dark side of Hank Pym, this tortured, guilt-ridden guy. I love that this is a mentor/pupil story, but with a f*ed up pupil and a really f*ed up mentor," he told Empire (as quoted in Comic Book Movie).

Reed added that he had email exchanges with Wright. "We both acknowledged the general weirdness of the situation. It's all very odd, but it's been really nice to communicate with him."

Aside from Paul Rudd, the cast list includes Michael Douglas as Dr. Hank Pym, Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne, and Corey Stoll as Darren Cross. Also in the list are Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peña, Abby Ryder Fortson, Judy Greer, David Dastmalchian, Wood Harris, John Slattery, Gregg Turkington, and T.I. The movie will hit theaters in July.
