Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady move forward from the Deflategate football drama by getting a new fur-baby. The couple introduced their new furry friend via Gisele's official Instagram account on Memorial Day over the weekend.
In a recent report by E! Online, the supermodel shared a cute photo of her husband, Brady, with their new beagle puppy leaning in for a kiss. The caption reads, "Our newest family member Scooby."
Judging from the photo, it looks like the star player already gained another fan as he receives a nose lick from their four-legged companion. The two are already experienced pet owners, basing from the photos of their pit bull mix Lua, which appears in Gisele's Instagram account occasionally.
The past few weeks have been rough for the couple, most especially to Tom, after he was suspended without pay. The famous New England Patriots quarterback was taken off the 2015 football season for the first four games. This incident was due to the Deflategate scandal.
NFL released information about their investigation earlier this month. The sports association looked closely into the New England Patriots' performance during the AFC Championship game, where the team faced Indianapolis Colts, that eventually led to the Super Bowl.
According to the league's official statement, it was found that Tom was "at least generally" aware that the footballs used in the game were deliberately deflated by the team's equipment managers, and therefore, should be held liable. The league feels that deflated footballs worked as an advantage since it became easier for the players to grip and throw. Now, their Super Bowl win stands in question.
The four-time Super Bowl champion allegedly refused to cooperate with the investigation. It was said that Tom declined to turn over his emails, texts and phone messages while the investigation was ongoing. This resulted to his suspension. When asked whether the issue has tainted their Super Bowl XLIX win, the famous quarterback player said, "Absolutely not."
In the midst of the controversy, it seems like getting a fur-baby helped Tom and Gisele steer away from the stress. Apart from the puppy picture, Gisele also posted a photo of her and her two kids jumping on a trampoline, clearly having a lot of fun. It looks like the power couple will not let the Deflategate the tension get to them.
