"GTA V" has been in existence for a couple of years now. As such, some have felt the hunger for an entirely new setting and set of challenges in the form of "GTA VI" - something which the game's developer Rockstar has pretty much confirmed, as noted by TweakTown.

"We've got about 45 years worth of ideas we want to do. We don't know what GTA 6 will be, but we've got some ideas," the site quoted Rockstar Games head honcho Leslie Benzies as saying.

"It comes from the idea first. Where is it going to be set is the first question. Then that defines the missions; you're doing different things in LA than in New York or Miami. The map and story get worked up together, and the story is a basic flow of how it works out so you can layer the missions in," he added.

Well, does one of those ideas involve making Ryan Gosling one of the characters in the game?

"An anonymous source claimed to have intriguing insider information on Rockstar's 'GTA 6' release revealing that the famous Ryan Gosling will star in the next installment of the franchise," Venture Capital Post said. "It can be recalled that it was during glorious Vice City days when fans last saw a big named star in the game and it's ripe to assume that such will be happening again."

The alleged source had also said that Rockstar had "tailor-made" the protagonist role in "GTA 6" for Gosling. The setting would be the 1980s, with Vice City as the main location. It has also been whispered that the actor had agreed to play the part.

"Now, Nicholas Winding Refn's masterpiece, 'Drive,' also starring Ryan Gosling, was very much inspired by Rockstar's work with 'Grand Theft Auto: Vice City,'" Movie Pilot pointed out.

Rockstar has not confirmed these speculations yet and has remained quite silent about the development of "GTA 6." Stay tuned for more updates, then.

Meanwhile, what are your own fearless forecasts on the upcoming "GTA" game?

In other news, rumors of Gosling being considered for "Blade Runner 2" are swirling and creating excitement among fans.

"He's classy, but not so classy that you couldn't put him in a movie with space ships and robots," MoviePilot noted. "Gosling fits the investigative noir look brilliantly, and would make an excellent 'Blade Runner' in the story. Or maybe he'll be a replicant. Or maybe both."

We'll know more about that in a couple of months.
