There are rumors that a triple-A title from 2K will be launched before the end of March 2016.

Express reported that Take-Two Interactive recently announced the financial outcome of the fourth quarter of their 2015 fiscal year, showing that they garnered a Non-GAAP net revenue of $427.7 million. Furthermore, the results showed that a triple-A game, which remained unannounced, will be introduced in the current fiscal year. This spurred talks that a big title, like "Red Dead Redemption 2" or "Mafia 3," is slated for release before March 31, 2015.

The Take-Two Interactive financial report stated, "Fiscal 2016 is off to a great start, highlighted by the April launch of Grand Theft Auto V for the PC, which has exceeded our expectations."

"Throughout the coming year, we will continue to execute our proven strategy of launching a select array of the highest-quality titles, led by new annual releases of NBA 2K and WWE 2K; Battleborn, a groundbreaking new intellectual property from Gearbox Software; and a soon-to-be-announced new triple-A title from 2K," it added.

It went on to disclose, "We also will continue to deliver innovative offerings designed to promote ongoing engagement with our games and drive recurrent consumer spending. Beyond fiscal 2016, we have a robust development pipeline and our Company is well-positioned to deliver growth and margin expansion over the long-term."

Attack of the Fan Boy wrote that Rockstar San Diego specifically managed the development of "Red Dead Redemption" and "Red Dead Revolver." There are rumors that the studio has been working on "Red Dead Redemption 2" as soon as its predecessor was released. There are also speculations that Rockstar might make the big announcement at the E3 in June 2015. The company does not usually make huge introductions at E3 but considering how "Grand Theft Auto V" was featured at last year's event, it is possible that they might do the same this year.

Five years have passed since "Red Dead Redemption" was released, so gamers are becoming more restless in waiting for the next installment. Bidnessetc reported that the missions, side quests, cover mechanics and storyline were very pleasing for gamers, causing them to request for a sequel. It is expected that the next game will be playable on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Take-Two Interactive has not yet confirmed which AAA title will be launched in the first quarter of 2016. It will either be "Red Dead Redemption 2" or "Mafia III," although more gamers are hoping that it will be the former.
