A huge leak was revealed earlier in May 2015, which allegedly presented essential details about the iPhone 6s. The new information allowed potential users to make comparisons between Apple’s flagship smartphone and Samsung’s new flagship handset, the Samsung Galaxy S6.

Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities provided a new research note on May 12, 2015, a copy of such note was acquired by Apple Insider, revealing various changes that would reportedly be made on the iPhone 6s.

In the note, Kuo stated that Apple will feature a new rose gold color option. No price was revealed yet for the upcoming model.

The gold color was first revealed by Apple when the iPhone 5s was launched in 2013. Kuo also did not reveal whether the rose gold color would actually consist of real gold, similar to the Apple Watch. With the new rose gold tone, Apple’s color total would become four, the existing ones being space grey, silver and gold.

Apple Insider added that the leak also showed the iPhone 6s possibly having a 12-megapixel camera, 2 GB of RAM and a screen size anywhere between 4.7 to 5.5 inches. The 5.5-inch display might be made for a special “Plus” version of the iPhone 6s. The upcoming Apple smartphone will also reportedly have an extra microphone that enhances the quality of voice calls and allows users to rely on gesture control support for navigation purposes.

Android Pit wrote that the new features do not seem to be capable of fully taking out the popularity of its biggest rival, the Samsung Galaxy S6. Since a few years ago, Samsung has taken the advantage over Apple in terms of specs.

The “Force Touch” of the iPhone 6s is an essential feature which makes use of electrodes in the Retina display to determine whether the user is pressing the display too hard or very lightly. The feature can particularly become a threat to the Galaxy S6. The new Apple flagship phone might present two levels of sensitivity which will improve the gaming experience of users.

The Galaxy S6, on the other hand, features a heartbeat sensor and the revolutionary curved edge screen of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge.

Phone Arena reported that Samsung also announced it will be releasing a Blue Topaz version of the Samsung Galaxy S6 and a Green Emerald model of the Galaxy S6 Edge. The official release date and regions of availability are yet to be confirmed. The S6 and S6 Edge are currently retailed in Black Sapphire, White Pearl and Gold Platinum.
