Three days after its debut, Apple is accepting preorders of the iPad Mini.

The iPad Mini is available for 34 countries, including Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and United States.

Today, I'll be preordering the iPad Mini and it will be my first tablet purchase, ever.

The slideshow presents the visual steps taken to complete the preorder.

To preorder, visit Apple.com where the iPad Mini is immediately displayed on the homepage.

Next, click on "Buy Now." It will forward the user to the selections menu, starting with the color. I'll be buying the black iPad Mini. The white iPad Mini has already experienced delays and will likely ship in two weeks' time.

After selecting the color, the model is next. Customers have the option of choosing one of two variants: the Wi-Fi model or the Wi-Fi with Cellular model. The iPad Mini will be carried by AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon.

Prices differ on the model as well as the storage.

For the Wi-Fi only models, the 16GB variant has a starting price of $329, $429 for the 32GB, and $529 for the 64GB.

The Wi-Fi with Cellular model cost considerably extra with the 16GB variant's starting price at $459, $559 for the 32GB, and $659 for the 64GB.

I'll will be choosing the 16GB Wi-Fi only model.

Next, on the right of the screen, a summary box is present, press the green "Continue" button.

By now, the user will have the option to personalize the iPad Mini with a free engraving. Important to note, if an engraving is made, then iPad Mini will be shipped in two weeks instead of the regular Nov. 2 release date.

If you decide to skip on the engraving, select the gray "Continue" box.

The Apple Store is the next stop and the user has the option to add accessories to the iPad Mini.

Some of the accessories include the Smart Cover, the Lightning to USB Camera Adapter, Apple Wireless Keyboard, Lightning to 30-pin Adapter, to a printer, to name a few.

No accessories will be purchased during this process, so click on the green "Add to Cart" button on the right side of the page.

Next, Apple will show you the items current in the cart, detailing price, shipping date, and the option to continue shopping. The customer could also select the green "Check Out Now" button to continue with the transaction of the $329.00 iPad Mini.

After clicking the "Check Out Now" button, some customers will see Apple provide the option of signing in if you're a returning customer or to check out as a guest, which requires no sign-in.

For this preorder, we'll checkout as a guest.

Now the shipping address has to be filled in, and once that is added, the estimated tax will be provided.

According to Apple, "The sales tax listed on the checkout page is only an estimate. The final total sales tax will be reflected on your invoice and will include state and local sales taxes, as well as any applicable rebate or fees. In [California] and [Rhode Island] sales tax is collected on the unbundled price of the iPhone."

The estimated tax provided was $29.20, making the total price of the iPad Mini $358.20.

Next, press the green "Continue" button, where the debit or credit card information has to be filled out.

Finally, the order summary will be provided, detailing your address, payment method, and final price of $358.20.

Then, click on the green "Place Order Now" button on the order summary box on the right of the screen.

The screen will state "processing" then finally, "Thank you."

The preorder of the iPad Mini is completed.
