Can't get enough of Dr. Jones? Lucasfilm's chief has good news for you - a new Indiana Jones movie is looming on the horizon. But only if there's a great story worth turning into a cinematic release.

"Ever since Disney acquired the 'Indiana Jones' film rights in 2013, there has been an assumption that some plans for another installment in the franchise would be forthcoming sooner rather than later," Time said. "Now, producer Kathleen Kennedy has made it quite clear that Disney fully intends to keep Indy's spirit alive on the big screen."

Kennedy had been quoted by Variety as declaring that another such film "will one day be made inside this company."

"When it will happen, I'm not quite sure. We haven't started working on a script yet, but we are talking about it," she shared.

The publication went on to reveal that this statement was more optimistic than the one Disney head honcho Alan Horn declared last year.

"We haven't done anything. We don't have a story. We need a story," he was quoted as saying.

Right now, the priority is the script, which Variety speculated would be under the charge of Kennedy herself as she had been an executive director of "Indiana Jones" director Steven Spielberg's projects from 1982 until 2012.

Once the script has been hammered out, the next order of the day would be finding the right person to play Dr. Henry Walton "Indiana" Jones. Will Harrison Ford return to reprise his iconic role? After all, the 72-year-old had portrayed the swashbuckling character in 2008, 19 years after the last "Indiana Jones" movie. Will he come back and anoint his "successor" to keep the franchise going?

Previously, "Guardians of the Galaxy" star Chris Pratt was rumored to take on the role. No confirmation has been made regarding this report, although word has it that Spielberg wants Pratt to play Indy and hopes to direct the next film, if ever it will indeed be greenlighted.

"Spielberg is said to be on board provided the screenplay is to his satisfaction, though the movie remains at a very early stage of development," The Guardian noted.

Considering that the renowned filmmaker "hand-picked" Pratt to take on the starring role in "Jurassic World," according to Deadline, it's no surprise that Spielberg would want to work with the same actor in the upcoming flick.

Who do you think should play Indy should there be a new "Indiana Jones" movie?
