George Zimmerman, the man who shot 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, was released on bail on April 26 after paying part of his $150,000 bail.

Reportedly, Zimmerman gathered the sum through the creation of a website where he ended up with a sum $204,000. The website was taken down two days before he paid the bail.

On Friday, a hearing took place where the bail was given to George Zimmerman and parents of Trayvon Martin were present. Zimmerman briefly addressed Trayvon's parents with a few words saying, "I want to say I'm sorry for the loss of your son. I did not know how old he was. I thought he was a bit younger than me. I did not know if he was armed or not."

After the hearing, Zimmerman was authorized to leave Florida and maintain in secret his whereabouts although complying with the standards set by the judge.
