Early Entry Candidates For NBA Draft 2015 Announced; What Happens Next?

The first round of the 2015 NBA Playoffs is still wrapping up but many are already talking about the 2015 NBA Draft to be held on June 25.

NBA.com notes that a list of early entry candidates was announced by the league on April 28, 2015. A total of 91 players, 48 of which comes from colleges and post-graduate institutions and 43 from international venues, already filed as early entry candidates for the 2015 NBA Draft, supported by State Farm.

Individuals who intended to join the 2015 NBA Draft were asked to submit a letter to the league. The NBA should have received their letters by April 26. On the other hand, players who filed for early entry may withdraw their names until 5 p.m. ET on June 15, by forwarding their written decision to the NBA.

CSNBayArea reports that five Pac-12 players filed as early entry candidates for the 2015 draft.

For a little history, the 2014 NBA Draft was held at the Barclays Center. According to ESPN, it was actually considered as one of the most hyped draft classes in the past years. That year, some of the underclassmen who gained the most attention included Andrew Wiggins, Jabari Parker, Joel Embiid, Marcus Smart, Julius Randle and Aaron Gordon. Some of the international talents included Crotia's Dario Saric and Australia's Dante Exum.
