Joe Manganiello has shared a new teaser photo for the upcoming seq

The actor, who reprises his role as Big Dick Richie in "Magic Mike XXL," tweeted the movie's latest poster on his official Twitter page. The black-and-white promotional shot featured Manganiello sans shirt with his abs and bulging muscles in full view. Check out the photohere.

"Magic Mike XXL," which is slated for release on July 1, 2015, will see Manganiello's character heading to a stripping convention in South Carolina alongside Channing Tatum's Magic Mike and other members of their dance group, Entertainment Weekly reported.

Manganiello, who is engaged to "Modern Family" star Sofia Vergara, is also set to appear in the much awaited sequel "Pee-wee's Big Holiday," which will air on Netflix, PEOPLE noted.

On April 14, lead star Tatum also tweeted a promotional photo of himself without a shirt, as well as Matt Bomer. Other stars portraying roles in the sequel are Michael Strahan, Kevin Nash, Adam Rodriguez, Elizabeth Banks, Donald Glover, Gabriel Iglesias, Amber Heard, Andie MacDowell, and Jada Pinkett Smith, a separate report from Entertainment Weekly noted.

In an interview with ET Online last November, Tatum said that fans should watch out for Manganiello the most in the sequel.

"It is terrifyingly unreal when he dances," Tatum told ET Online. "My mouth is on the floor the whole time. He's going to blow people's minds in this movie."

The installment's official synopsis reads, as what was said in an official statement by Warner Brothers: "Picking up the story three years after Mike bowed out of the stripper life at the top of his game,'"Magic Mike XXL' finds the remaining Kings of Tampa likewise ready to throw in the towel. But they want to do it their way: burning down the house in one last blow-out performance in Myrtle Beach, and with legendary headliner Magic Mike sharing the spotlight with them."

"On the road to their final show, with whistle stops in Jacksonville and Savannah to renew old acquaintances and make new friends, Mike and the guys learn some new moves and shake off the past in surprising ways," the statement continued.

Gregory Jacobs, who was the original movie's first assistant to Steven Soderbergh, now serves as the follow-up flick's director, a separate report from Entertainment Weekly noted. Soderbergh still worked on "Magic Mike XXL" as the cinematographer, editor, and producer, with Reid Carolin in charge of the screenplay, Warner Brother's official site added.
