It was previously speculated that "Star Wars Battlefront" may be shipped close to the theatrical release of "Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens" as the game reportedly follows the storyline of the film and may serve as a "spoiler" of sorts.

However, recently, it's been reported that the title will be released November 17 this year, a month and a day before the movie drops in theaters.

"The game is coming out on November 17th for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and on the PC," The Verge said. "It's just in time for the opening of J.J. Abrams' 'The Force Awakens.'"

This bit of news came with the release of the official trailer of "Star Wars Battlefront," which has been described as having "a stunningly high level of quality for footage allegedly generated within the game itself" that makes the clip look "like a live-action movie," according to Deadline.

"The game includes locations like Hoth, the forest moon of Endor from Return of the Jedi, Luke Skywalker's home world of Tatooine, and a mysterious planet named Sullust, and players are able to take on the role of everyone from a Rebel soldier to Boba Fett or Darth Vader," The Verge said. "Whether it's flying an X-Wing, a TIE Fighter, or piloting the Millennium Falcon, Battlefront clearly wants to check all the boxes on the fan wish list."

In achieving such high quality digital renderings, DICE reportedly used the original props and models featured in the movies.

"The items were all photographed, and the game's developers used a technique called 'photogrammetry' to create 3D models with highly detailed textures and coloring," the site went on to explain.

The game can be played multiplayer mode (up to 40 persons) or solo via "crafted missions," as Action Figure Insider puts it.

For those who want to ensure they have a stake on the game this early, you can pre-order "Star Wars Battlefront."

"Fans who pre-order Star Wars Battlefront will be among the first players to experience the Battle of Jakku, the pivotal moment when the New Republic confronted key Imperial holdouts on a remote desert planet on the Outer Rim," the site said.

You can pre-order at the official site. But do think things over very well before you do so, Forbes' Erik Kain warned.

"I also have to remind everyone that you'd be absolutely bloody crazy to pre-order 'Star Wars: Battlefront,'" he cautioned. "I say this not just because this is EA we're talking about (though that's a real factor) or because there have been major launch issues with DICE games like 'Battlefield 4' and other EA titles like 'SimCity.'"

"If you do choose to preorder, pay closer attention to the product at the very least, so that you can cancel your order as soon as ominous signs rear their ugly heads. Best practice is to wait as long as possible, holding out until we've seen and heard more about any given title," he added.
