Britt McHenry's colleagues at ESPN reportedly wished that she would have been fired after a viral video showed the reporter and the ESPN staff in bad light.

New York Daily News reported that McHenry was shown in a video berating a female towing-company-worker. The video immediately went viral, but co-workers and viewers were surprised that she was only punished with a one-week suspension.

The video lasted one minute. At the start, the reporter was talking to the trailer employee, "I'm in the news sweetheart. I will f---ing sue this place."

Britt then looks up to the camera in surprise when she realized that she was being recorded. However she did not stop her slurs.

"That's why I have a degree," she said. "I wouldn't work at a... makes my skin crawl even being here. Yep that's all you care about is just... with no education, no skill set."

She continued, "Do you feel good about your job? So I could be a college dropout and do the same thing? Why, cause I have a brain and you don't. Maybe if I was missing some teeth."

She went on to criticize the teeth of the tow lady, "Oh like yours cause they look so stunning."

McHenry told the employee in the video, "Cause I'm on television and you're in a f---ing trailer honey."

The video and light penalty garnered more negative comments from her fellow workers, mainly citing that McHenry should be removed from her job.

A top producer said, "She's the worst. Hopefully, she'll be fired soon."

Another said, "[What she did] reflects on all of us at ESPN. She will be fired soon. If not, I'll be shocked."

Another worker at ESPN said, "She came off more than rude in that clip. It seems like she needs some humble pie. [ESPN] can find a million Britt McHenrys to replace her."

Here's a video of Jillian Barberie, who was part of "NFL on Fox" for 10 years, saying her piece on the issue.

Based on a report by MSN, McHenry apologized for the incident but a lot of people are still outraged that she got away with a minor penalty. Many resorted to social media and created memes to show their disappointment over the blonde's behavior.

"Entitlement, not just for minorities anymore," said one meme. "Bratt McHenry has a mouthful of teeth," said another. A meme of "Anchorman" character Ron Burgundy also said "Stay classy, Britt McHenry."

Based on another report by TMZ, McHenry was even invited to partner with the Brevard County Manatees in her hometown in Florida and be the team's guest field reporter. She was also slated to give an anti-bullying speech to 1,000 elementary school children on one of the Manatees' "Education Days". She is supposed to talk about the importance of fighting bullying to the huge audience on April 22, 2015.

McHenry has not yet indicated whether she was accepting the offer.
