Is Anna Kendrick's side-splitting version of One Direction's "Steal My Girl" better than John Krasinski's turn as Tina Turner singing "Proud Mary"?

Both actors can afford to milk out their respective songs for all they're worth as they won't be busting their vocal cords just to pull off their performances. It appears they will have to use their acting arsenal to deliver the most impressive lip sync performance.

"In a teaser clip for Thursday's show Anna starts rocking out to the boy band's swoonful tune and unzips her jacket to reveal a T-shirt printed with her and Mrs. Krasinski's face framed with a heart," MailOnline said.

And by Mrs. Krasinski, we mean actress Emily Blunt.

"The 'Twilight' star gives a soulful performance and caresses a TV monitor as a montage of Emily - and a multitude of pink hearts and emoticons - flashes up on the screen," the British publication added. "As soon as his wife's image appears, 'The Office' actor is seen cracking up from the side of the stage alongside host LL Cool J, who also collapses into a fit of giggles while Anna's fantasy crush plays out."

It appears the "Pitch Perfect" star definitely knows how to do battles of the musical kind.

Interestingly, Emily had appeared on the show the previous week, battling against Anne Hathaway, who did a viral performance of Miley Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball."

John responded with a Tina Turner classic, starting his performance "nice and easy" and in a suit, according to E! News.

"When the music picked up, Krasinski ripped off his suit to reveal a fringe dress underneath," the entertainment news source said. "As the 35-year-old actor did his best Turner impression, several dancers appeared on stage behind him."

Anna also did another performance, this time with Jennifer Lopez's "Booty," with the singer herself appearing as one of her backup dancers.

This then prompted John to yell, "Wait, wait, wait - what is happening?"

Who do you think will win the battle? Will Anna take home the prize? Or will John's sparkly number take the cake? Check out the face off Thursday night at 10 on Spike TV, hosted by LL Cool J and Chrissy Teigen.

The unusual singing competition has since gone on to produce viral lip-syncing clips featuring Anne Hathaway, The Rock, John Legend, and Jimmy Fallon, who thought up the lip sync battle idea and even included it in his late night talk show segments, RyanSeacrest.com noted.
