Fans were not able to see the latest episode of the hit TV series "Scandal" last Thursday. Instead, they will be seeing it next week, on April 16. Hypable noted that this was not the first time the show took a week off. It also speculated that this move might be caused by the intention to set its finale in May. Anyhow, watch the next episode's teaser video below:

The next episode will reportedly be called "I'm Just a Bill." Melty noted that the teaser could suggest that Olivia Pope (played by Kerry Washington) will be facing a difficult decision of choosing between her father Rowan Pope (played by Joe Morton) and President Fitzgerald Grant (played by Tony Goldwyn).

In the video we heard Jake Ballard (played by  Scott Foley) saying that they have 48 hours to shut down the case. Olivia then adds that if they fail, her father "will take matters into his own hands." It then ends with Rowan telling his daughter, "Is your hatred so great you are willing to tear him down too?"

According to the synopsis provided by Spoilers Guide, Liv and her team of gladiators will try to take down B613, a secret spy organization led by her father. Liv will also reportedly be working on the murder case of the mayor's wife.

Meanwhile, Venture Capital Post speculated that the show's current season may be its last. VC Post said citing the report of TV ratings that the show's ratings were starting to fall.

"In the report, 'Scandal' rating indicates that the season has kept on falling. It can be noticed that after the January 29, 2015 episode, the ratings had started to flop. Last March 19 episode garnered 2.4 rating, then followed by 2.33 and the latest episode aired last April 2 had only gotten a 2.09 rating in the 18-49 demographic," VC Post said.

"[M]any also feared that the season may be the last one, as the latest 'Scandal' season 4 spoilers indicate that it feels like the show is going to be end soon. And, as far as renewal is concerned, the network has yet to release it's verdict despite we are only 4 episodes away," the news outlet added.

As of the moment, we still could not confirm whether this speculation is true as ABC has not yet commented or issued an official statement regarding the matter. As for now, let's get ready to catch the newest episode "Scandal" next week.
