The Rock recently did an impersonation of the Disney character "Bambi", giving fans the idea that a new live-action film might be in the works.

On Saturday Night Live on March 28, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson took on the role of the famous deer, while other members of the SNL cast played Bambi's friends Thumber, Faline and Flower, based on a report by Screen Rant. In the skit, the Great Prince of the Forest and his friends set out to avenge the death of Bambi's mother by taking out the hunters of Tanglewood.

Disney has been creating live films based on their original cartoon movies such as "Cinderella" and "Maleficent." The thought of recreating a "Bambi" movie may be funny and entertaining, especially if an action brute like The Rock will be included in the cast, and so moviegoers cannot help but speculate about the possibility. However, should Disney decide to create a deer-based movie, it is expected to take on a more serious tone and skip the deer puns and heavily-muscled actors, focusing more on families.

In the video shown on IGN.com, Jay Pharoah, Cecily Strong and Taram Killam come up with a "Furious 7" spin on "Bambi". In the video, a hunter was shown posting a sign indicating that it is hunting season. The Rock pulled up in a muscle car and stepped out to confront the forest threat.

"Who the hell are you?" the hunter asked.

The Rock, featured with a deer nose and ears, lit up a cigar then answered, "I'm Bambi". He proceeded to pull out two Desert Eagle pistols to finish off his unassuming opponent. Taram Killam took on the role of the rabbit Thumper, looking like Vin Diesel with giant rabbit ears. Jay Pharoah played Flower, looking like Tyrese Gibson, while Strong played Faline, appearing like Michelle Rodriguez. The four attack a hunting lodge, with guns ablaze and featuring some of the familiar stunts only seen in action films. Mashable reported that the movie soundtrack was also adjusted, featuring a new track entitled "Wham, Bam, Bambi" by Ludacris, played by Jay Pharoah.

Based on the same report by Screen Rant, although Disney is expected to come up with more live films inspired by its popular cartoon flicks, "Bambi" might not be one prioritized at the moment. The company is currently working on "Beauty and the Beast" and "Dumbo", set to be released in theatres soon.
