Rey Mysterio has been on many sports news lately following the untimely death of long-time friend Perry Aguayo Jr. during a wrestling match with the former. It has been reported that the "masked man" Mysterio is now considering of a retirement after being accused to be responsible for Aguayo's unfortunate fate.

Just last week, Perro Aguayo Jr. was proclaimed dead due to a cardiac arrest during a wrestling match with Rey Mysterio. It was considered to be a very devastating experience in the entire World Wrestling history where a life was lost in the name of the sports.

According to a Cage Side Seats report, there have been rumors that Mysterio is contemplating about retiring and a message from Rey Bucanero was spun out of hand when he said to laaficion.com that "Mysterio was devastated over the incident and to the best of his knowledge did not want to 'fight' and he found that very painful." However, Cage Side Seats believes this rumor has been sensationalized and is not true. Rey Mysterio blamed the media for "trying to stir things up."

These rumors were laid to rest by Rey Mysterio himself in an interview at a WaleMania Event last Thursday. Mysterio expounded by saying that he will stick around with wrestling because he thinks that that is what Aguayo wants for him.

As for Bucanero's statement, Mysterio confirmed that he was never able to speak with him since the incident happened so there's no way that Bucanero will be able to speak in his behalf especially with personal issues like retirement.

Since Perro Aguayo's death, the road ahead for Rey Mysterio is not easy either. Things have been a bit rocky for him especially that Tijuana police is on his back now. Mysterio is currently being investigated for potential manslaughter, Latin Times learned. Add to that the circus involving the fans and the media who think he is responsible for the death of Aguayo. Indeed, this is a tough time for Mysterio.

For the time being, Mysterio is determined to continue what he started by doing what he does best. The retirement speculations can now be buried because the Mysterio revealed that he "had no plans of hanging up his mask and boots just yet."
