In celebration of its 50th anniversary, Gatorade is reminiscing Michael Jordan's heyday during the 1990s by featuring "Be Like Mike" videos.

Bleacher Report wrote that three "Be Like Mike" classic advertisments were remixed by Gatorade. The first video is "Groove Like Mike", the second is "Move Like Mike," and the third is "Dream Like Mike".

Sports Illustrated reported that Gatorade will also be re-launching Jordan's favorite flavor of the energy drink, Citrus Cooler, in the classic packaging. Jordan was a Gatorade endorser throughout his basketball career, appearing in numerous advertisements and helping popularize the brand as the official sports drink of the NBA.

USA Today wrote that the first "Be Like Mike" ad was featured 23 years ago. All three remixed commercials pay tribute to the original. The three new ads featured the 28-year-old Michael Jordan, showcasing his most memorable moments and signature moves. The background song, which was very popular in 1991, was playing the entire time.

The song was actually taken from "I Wanna Be Like You," a film song from the Disney cartoon, "The Jungle Book". Bernie Pitzel, creative head of Gatorade, heard the song and made the connection that millions of kids around the world also aspired to be like the basketball icon. Pitzel proceeded to write new lyrics for the tune and the rest was history.

The "Groove Like Mike" commercial was 1:13 long, featuring Jordan doing his signature dunks and the classic scene where he guarded a small boy dribbling his way on an outdoor court. His memorable buzzer beater shot in 1991 was also showcased in the ad. The images were remixed to give it a cartoonish appearance. Gatorade used the tagline "G50" to commemorate its 50 years in the industry as well as the hashtag #BeLikeMike.

The "Move Like Mike" commercial lasted 1:48. It featured two basketball players in a training room where they tried to hone their dribbling, passing, and shooting skills to be like the basketball star. The two watched the screen as they exercised, which displayed the key moments in Jordan's career as shown in the first commercial.

The third ad, "Dream Like Mike," lasted for 1:09. The video featured a guy practicing at his garage and trying to imitate Jordan's moves. He finished by copying the same game-winning shot in 1991, then chugged his Gatorade in the end. The same G50 tagline and hashtag appeared at the end of the commercial.
