Halo 4 Spoilers: Main Antagonist and Plot Spoilers Revealed

Fans of the Halo series were not supposed to get their fill of Halo 4 until November 6. But the game was leaked and sold three weeks before release and the result is a ton of fans flocking to the web to find spoilers. Videos of the spoilers have been taken off the web due to an active attempt by Microsoft and its security to prevent their most prized game of the holiday season from being spoiled for fans around the world. However, there are still some spoilers available across the web.

*Spoiler Alert* MAJOR SPOILERS BELOW.

Neogaf has published a full page of spoilers for the game including the story. Master Chief awakens to find the Forward Unto Dawn boarded by numerous Covenant that are in search of Requiem in order to find a Forerunner Weapon Cache. They are also hoping that the Requiem is the place where a living god is currently being held and it is their desire to obtain his help in their fight against humanity.

Neogaf reveals that the game's main antagonist is Didact who is an ancient Forerunner and is the one that the Convenant believes is the god. Didact was previously seen in the Halo anime, as well as Halo novel Cryptum.

The game sees the return of Dr. Halsey (who was in Halo Reach) and she wants Chief to help her find a solution to Cortana's problem. Cortana is an AI character in the series that serves as protagonist Master Chief's ally. She provides players with tactical information and back story. She helps prevent the activation of Halo installments. According to Neogaf, she can project multiple version of herself in Halo 4. At the climax of the game, she joins Master Chief in a battle with Didact.

Neogaf also includes parts of the script and indicates how the battle unfolds:

Didact: "Compassion for mankind is misplaced."

Chief: "I'm not doing this for mankind."

"Chief then charges at Didact. Cortana rushes towards Didact and jumps all over him (legs, arms, chest, back). Several takes of "Cortana" tackling and climbing on random objects at full speed. Didact is attacked by Cortana. He attempts to swat at Cortana as a means of self defence. Didact unclenches his fist and drops Chief."

There are rumors that Cortana dies at the end of the game, but these have not been verified yet.

Halo 4 releases on November 6 for the Xbox 360.
