Beyonce and Cara Delevingne - an unlikely musical pairing?
Bey and Cara have posted identical Instagram snaps showing just their manicured hands lying on a recording studio soundboard. Are they telling us they're collaborating on a track (or an album) these days?
Since both images came without a caption or any explanation, fans and observers are left in the dark about the meaning of such photos.
If indeed the two are concocting something in the studio, this will be Cara's most recent foray into the music industry, as observed by Complex.
"She recently co-starred in A$AP Ferg's music video for 'Dope Walk' and sang in a film for Chanel alongside Pharrell," the site said.
"Queen Bey's only rumored project is a joint album with husband Jay Z, which looks like it might also include a feature from Delevingne," it added.
Complex also recalled that the "Drunk in Love" singer had collaborated with models in the past, although it was for her video "Yoncé."
The snaps have since generated excitement among fans.
"OHMYGODOHMYGODOHMYGOD @Beyonce @Caradelevingne !!???!!???" tweeted Quincy Ratcliff. MailOnline has since noted this reaction as the kind that pretty much represents the general sentiment among a number of fans.
"HOLD ON. I don't know that I/ the Internet can handle a Beyoncé and Cara Delevingne collaboration," tweeted Danielle Tullo.
"Beyoncé is in the studio with cara delevingne i'm not sure what any of this means but as long as it means new music my edges are ready," tweeted another user, Elias.
If indeed the two are collaborating and that Bey is making a new album, it's surprising that she has let the cat out of the bag like that. The diva had released her last album without prior promotion. The surprise drop had not kept her fifth studio effort from becoming a certified hit, though.
With that, it's been speculated by some observers that she may pull the same trick again. Judging by the recently shared snaps, it appears Bey's not one to repeat the same trick twice.
Rumors of a Beyonce-Jay Z joint album surfaced when producer Noel Fisher revealed that he is working on "something together" with the power couple, MailOnline said.
If indeed such a project comes to fruition, it may very well be one album to hog the top of the charts.
Meanwhile, Cara will be appearing "in six movies either premiering or filming in 2015," the British publication said.
